Experience. Integrity. Compassion.

An Accomplished New Hampshire Litigator

For many who have suffered harm from another’s negligence, dealing with the aftereffects can be difficult and sometimes overwhelming. Insurance companies are often more focused on protecting their profits than they are on paying viable claims. Legal claims and theories can be opaque, and knowing your rights can be challenging.

I am attorney Donna-Marie Cote, and I have represented people harmed in a broad spectrum of personal injury and civil litigation claims, including those stemming from:

  • Car accidents
  • Motorcycle accidents
  • Pedestrian injuries
  • Wrongful death
  • Slip-and-fall accidents
  • Dog bites and animal attacks
  • Sexual abuse claims
  • Unsafe or defective products
  • Construction claims
  • Tort claims
  • Breach of contract claims

I combine the skills, experience, and resources necessary to aggressively pursue the rights of the injured and maximize compensation for the legal and financial damages they have suffered as a result of negligence.

I Have Dedicated My Career To Helping The Injured

I have been practicing law in New Hampshire since 2000, after graduating from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. I gained a wealth of diverse experience interning in venues such as the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire and The White House Office of Legal Counsel to The President.

After becoming a member of a prestigious New Hampshire litigation firm, I made the decision to open my own solo practice in 2011. In my practice, I focus on resolving matters through mediation, settlement and trial for individuals, families, and businesses in New Hampshire.

I am a member of professional organizations such as the New Hampshire Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Manchester Bar Association, the Catholic Lawyers Guild, and New Hampshire Association for Justice.

The Importance Of Legal Representation

Laws, regulations, court decisions, and insurance contracts are all complex. They may be broad and apply to numerous parties or very narrow, applying to few. When you are presented with the need for legal representation, you may not even realize that you need an attorney at first. You may think that you can resolve the issue. With many personal injuries, contract disputes, and employment law matters, the complexity grows, and you realize you need professional, legal help.

When you work with me, I work to protect your rights and interests and resolve your legal matter efficiently and cost-effectively. I have more than two decades of legal experience that includes internships at the White House in Washington D.C., and the U.S. Federal Court for the District of N.H., as well as Boston-based law offices. My career path ultimately brought me back to New Hampshire where I joined a prestigious Manchester law firm as an Associate Attorney and was promoted to the level of Member (aka Partner).  I have handled mediations, arbitrations and trials before judges and juries. I understand the complexities of these cases, how to investigate these claims, and how to effectively bring them to court. My goal as your advocate is to obtain the compensation you need after suffering these harms.

I provide people who have been injured or have suffered losses due to the negligence of others with experienced, aggressive advocacy. For my clients, I do the following:

  • Investigate the facts of your claim
  • Communicate with medical care providers about your injuries and long-term prognosis
  • Build a strong case on your behalf
  • Prepare a well-documented claim or lawsuit
  • Support your overall recovery

I use a straightforward approach, consulting with you on the progress and direction of your matter. I often can obtain compensation during pretrial work and settlement discussions. If that is not possible and a trial is necessary, you can trust that I will be prepared to represent your interests vigorously.
